Robert Fernandez is a New York-based multimedia composer and double bassist. He has scored short films, radio programs, and four full-length plays, in addition to writing concert music. He is a member of the Brooklyn’s Slugfest theatre company, and his work has been presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Deep End, Upper Jay Recovery Lounge. His recent premieres include the Cincinnati Fringe, Providence Fringe, and the Washington Heights Jazz Festival, for which his work The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter won the 2021 “Jazz WaHi” Composition Competition. Robert completed a Masters in Music: Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt, and received his BA in Music and Philosophy at Columbia University.
